The Portal

A DOOR TO ANOTHER DIMENSION, BRINGING YOU WITH ME, ON A TRIP TO ADMIRE BEAUTY, TO WANDER OFF FROM OUR REALITIES, TO BECOME PRESENT.

DRAWING INSPIRATION FROM THE CAPTIVATING NATURE OF WATER, I HAVE CRAFTED A FOUN- TAIN THAT EMBODIES ITS ESSENCE IN A UNIQUE FORM.

Much like gazing into a body of water, this installation allows you to peer through its transparent façade while simultaneously capturing reflections that shift with every passing moment.

The interplay between the solid and fluid elements forms the core of this fountain. Showcasing their differences as well as similarities, creating an interesting conversation between two opposite materials, water and metal.

As an artist, my fascination lies in exploring the complex relationship between humans and nature, more specifically water. The way it mirrors our very being and dances with the surroundings creates a sense of wonder that never fails to mesmerize. Through the creation of the Portal, I seek to show ways for us to engage with this fluid element, showcasing its natural beauty and inviting viewers to embark on a journey of discovery.
